The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh today assured the Lok Sabha that cabinet will take soon a decision on the including the caste clause in the census. <br/><br/>Responding to the concerns expressed in the house, Dr. Singh said that he is aware of the views of the members on the issue and the Home Minister Mr. P Chidambaram has made a detailed statement. <br/><br/>Earlier Mr. Chidambarm assured the members that due weightage will be given to their views on the subject. <br/><br/>Replying to the debate, the Home Minister without giving a categorical assurance said that the government is seized of the matter and pointed out the logistic and practical difficulties in conducting such a census.
