The Prime Minister has ruled out government curbs on salaries of Chief Executive Officers of private companies. Talking to reporters in Mumbai on Sunday, Dr. Manmohan Singh said the government believes that salaries are best determined by boards of various companies and government as such has no role to play in this regard. In reply to a question whether the government is concerned about high salaries of CEOs, the Prime Minister said, the issue raised by him two-years ago, was in a general way.<br/>
