PM rules out China-US currency stand off

Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh has ruled out any stand off between the US and China on currencies devaluation and trade imbalances issues, saying both the countries share intimate economic relationship. He said surplus countries like China had as much responsibility to take adjustment measures as the deficit countries like the United States. Dr. Singh was responding to questions on way to New Delhi from Seoul.While China blames America for easy and lose money, the United States complains about the Chinese exchange rate system being kept deliberately under valued. The Prime Minister said the mutual assessment process, if allowed to take shape, will address these issues.
