The Prime Minister reviewed the progress made in preparing the 12th Five Year Plan document, which envisages 9 per cent annual economic growth during the 2012-17 period.

This was disclosed by the Planning Commission Member Abhijit Sen in New Delhi. Mr Sen said, Dr Manmohan Singh called a meeting of the Planning Commission's members yesterday to see the progress on the 12th Plan document.

The country's highest policy making body the National Development Council chaired by the Prime Minister had approved the Approach Paper to the 12th Plan.
