Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said, President's counsel to Parliamentarians has worked well and both the Houses are functioning smoothly. Mr Modi is now replying to Motion of Thanks to President's address to Parliament in the Rajya Sabha. <br/><br/>He lauded the members for seriously participating in the discussion on the Motion. He said, there is a need to worry about lack of education facilities and overcome the challenges in this sphere. <br/><br/>Mr Modi also referred to a campaign about girl education which the Gujarat government used to carry on in the month June when he was Chief Minister. He urged political parties to consider giving 30 per cent seats to illiterate candidates during the ensuing Assembly elections in five States.<br/><br/>Mr Modi has already made his reply in the Lok Sabha and after that motion was adopted in the House.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is now making his reply in the Rajya Sabha on the motion of thanks to the Presidential address of both Houses of Parliament. <br/><br/>He thanked the Opposition for smooth running of Parliament, and expressed gratitude to all the members of the House for their cooperation in the discussion over the President's Address. <br/><br/>He said, he is glad that with opposition's cooperation, over 300 amendments have been passed in the session till now. <br/><br/>Mr Modi has already made his reply in the Lok Sabha and after that motion was adopted in the House.
