Prime Minister Narendra Modi today released digital recordings of epic Ramcharitmanas, produced by All India Radio.<br/><br/>It is part of AIR's attempts to go digital in a big way so that the public broadcaster can reach audiences globally.<br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Mr Modi said the digital compilation of Ramcharitmanas by AIR is an inspiration for others.<br/><br/>He commended the team who worked for years to compile the digitised version of the epic.<br/><br/>The Prime Minister said Ramcharitmanas speaks about Indian family values which are admired all over the world.<br/><br/>On attachment of people with Ramcharitmanas, Mr Modi said the people who went to far off countries over 100 years ago took this great literary work with them.<br/><br/>The Prime Minister said Akashvani has nine lakh hours of recordings which is rare. He said there should be research on this unique treasure of the AIR recordings.<br/><br/>On FM auction, Mr Modi said the auction process has fetched Rs. 1100 crore.
