PM ready to appear before PAC in 2G issue

Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh said, Government will pay careful attention to five-point agenda to fight corruption set out by Sonia Gandhi. Addressing the Congress Plenary session in New Delhi, he said, all aspects of 2G spectrum allocations are being probed and no guilty person will be spared. He said, no purpose will be served by JPC as multi-agency probe is underway into 2G spectrum allocation. Dr Singh alleged that BJP has been falsely propagating that government does not want JPC as it does not want him to appear before it. The Prime Minister said, he is ready to appear before Public Accounts Committee of Parliament on 2G spectrum issue although there is no such precedent. Dr Singh asserted that he has nothing to hide on the issue. He said, Public Accounts Committee has all powers which can be given to JPC.
