PM pitches for increase in strategic trust with China

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pitched for increase in strategic trust and maintenance of peace and tranquility on the border to promote overall ties with China. He made the remarks while meeting Vice Chairman of Central Military Commission of China General Fan Changlong in New Delhi yesterday. An official release said, the General briefed Mr Modi on growing military-to-military relations between India and China. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister said it is important to enhance strategic trust and maintain peace and tranquility in the border areas, in order to promote overall bilateral ties. Mr. Modi appreciated the steps taken to strengthen military cooperation between India and China. He welcomed the participation of PLA Navy in the International Fleet Review to be held in India in 2016.
