Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paid tributes to former Prime Minister Morarji Desai. Mr Modi said in a tweet, Morarjibhai Desai is remembered for his contribution to India's freedom struggle and as an outstanding administrator. Later, he was unanimously elected as Leader of the Janata Party in the Parliament and was sworn in as country's Prime Minister on 24 March 1977.
