PM pays homage to victims of Kanishka bombing

The Prime Minister has called for eliminating terrorism with determination and joint action. Terming the bombing of the Air India aircraft Kanishka in June 1985 as the most barbarous act, Dr Manmohan Singh said the horrific incident has shook the world's conscience. <br/><br/>Paying homage to all the victims on the 25th anniversary of the Kanishka bombing on Wednesday he said no religion, faith or cause could justify such violence or inhumanity. The horrific incident has shook the world's conscience. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that Dr. Singh will be in Canada later this week in connection with the G-20 Summit. Air India's Kanishka aircraft had crashed into the Atlantic on 23rd of June 1985 following an onboard explosion, killing all the 329 passengers and its crew.
