Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the first ever Persons of Indian Origin Parliamentarian conference in New Delhi today. <br/><br/>124 sitting MPs and 17 mayors of Indian descent from UK, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka will be participating in the one day conference. From the US, two mayors will take part. <br/><br/>There will be two thematic plenary sessions during the conference. Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan will address the valedictory session. <br/><br/>External Affairs Ministry said, the conference will give a chance to upgrade India's relations with the participating nations and also improve help people to people contacts. <br/>
