PM Narendra Modi reaching Paris today to take part in UN Conference on Climate Change

The Prime Minister is reaching Paris this evening to participate in the United Nation Confrence on Climate change. 196 nations are participating in this twelve day conference. Apart from Mr. Modi , Heads of the state and Head of the governments of about one hundred fifty nations are participating in the meet to give it political direction and push. <br/><br/>AIR special correspondent covering the meet reports that India has set up a beautiful pavilion highlighting New Delhi's commitment to economic development for its people but economising on carbon emission which leads to rise in global temperature. Meanwhile early opening of negotiations to finalize the draft agreement is to begin later in the day today. <br/><br/>For this purpose a special body was created in Durban, South Africa, in 2011 for negotiations on the universal climate agreement that's supposed to be adopted in Paris.<br/> The Paris conference will deal with other things as well, like pre-2020 ambition. AIR correspondent reports that the objective of the 2015 conference is to achieve, for the first time in over 20 years of UN negotiations, a binding and universal agreement on climate, from all the nations of the world.
