On the last leg of his two day visit to Nepal, Prime minister Narendra Modi performed Puja at the famous Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu this morning. Special arrangements were made for his Puja where he performed Rudrabhishek to Lord Pashupatinath, one of the 51 Shaktipeeths of Lord Shiva.
? The Puja lasted about one hour, during which the unprecedented security arrangements was kept in place in and around the temple premises. PM was later presented with many offerings by the temple priests. In view of the PM's visit, entire temple premise was beautifully decorated. The PM also offered 2,500 kg of white Indian sandalwood to the Pashupatinath temple trust, a?n official said. Besides, PM also assured the temple trust to extend all possible help by? his government for the development and face-lifting of the temple premises. Offering Puja on Monday and Shrawan is considered as auspicious. Today?,? being the last Monday of Shrawan month, the Puja at this famous Lord Shiv temple gathers even more significance. ? Our correspondent reports that most ?of the ?educational institutions in Kathmandu were closed on Monday due to transportation management in view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi 's visit?.
? PM is scheduled to meet Nepal's president Ram Baran Yadav for crucial bilateral talks on a wide range of issues later today. The Nepalese president has hosted a Lunch in the honour of Indian prime minister today.
? PM Modi yesterday won a million hearts by speaking in Nepali briefly during his ? forty five? minute address to ? the constituent assembly of Nepal. Before concluding his two-day visit to Nepal, Modi will also meet leaders of va?rious political parties later today.
