PM Narendra Modi has rightly termed disabled people as 'Divyang' :Prakash Javadekar

Union Human Resource Development Minister (HRD) Prakash Javadekar today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has rightly termed disabled people as 'Divyang' as these people have some special qualities inspite of their disabilities. He said government is committed towards overall development of divyang people.<br/><br/>Mr. Javadekar visited Mumbai's Kamala Mehta Dadar School of Blind today. He interacted with Blind students from the school. On the occasion, students demonstrated their skills like singing, drawing, stitching and cooking. Mr. Javadekar appreciated their efforts.<br/><br/>The HRD minister added that PM Modi has always said that we should work for the weaker section of society for overall development. He said the new education policy will be Inclusive education policy for students with disability. He said that the government has given instructions to all the educational institutions in the country regarding the facilities such as separate toilet and separate corridor for walking to be provided to Divyang students in their institutions.<br/><br/>In Maharashtra, there are 16000 special teachers working to teach 40,000 divyang students and these numbers will be increased in future.
