Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that he is looking forward to a result-oriented visit to Washington in September this year with concrete outcomes for new momentum in energy in the Indo-US strategic partnership. He conveyed this to US Deputy Secretary of State William Burns who called on him in New Delhi today. Mr Modi said that re-energising the partnership between India and the United States would send an important message to the region and beyond.
Mr Burns delivered a letter from President Obama to Mr Modi inviting him to visit the US.
