The meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP workers and its leaders at the party headquarters in Delhi is underway.

The meeting is believed to be an attempt to ensure that organizational strength of the BJP is not weakened in the wake of massive mandate the party received in the recent elections.

Yesterday, Mr. Modi held meeting with party general secretaries and discussed organizational matters to strengthen the party ahead of assembly elections in some key states.

During an hour long meeting, Mr Modi sought suggestions on improving governance and strengthening the party. He asked party leaders to act as a bridge between the people and the government.

The Prime Minister also had deliberations with party president Rajnath Singh and Union Ministers and party leaders Arun Jaitley and Nitin Gadkari.
