Prime Minister Narendra Modi has wished people on the occasion of different festivals. In a series of tweets, Mr Modi extended Makar Sankranti greetings and hoped that the festival will bring joy and prosperity in everyone's lives.<br/><br/> He also wished Tamil people a happy and blessed Pongal. On the special occasion of Magh Bihu, he extended his greetings to the people of Assam. Mr Modi wished people of Gujarat Uttarayan. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister said these festivals celebrated across India add great colour and happiness in the lives of the people and this diversity is India's greatest strength. He hoped that the festivals will bring abundance of happiness and prosperity in the lives of hardworking farmers.
