PM Modi visiting Varanasi for Good Governance day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting his Parliamentary constituency Varanasi today to observe Good Governance day on the birth day of former Prime Minister Atal Vihari Bajpai.

It is the second visit of Narendra Modi to his parliamentary constituency after assuming charge as Prime Minister. Mr. Modi was received at the Babatpur airport by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Health and family welfare minister Ahmad Hasan.

Elaborate security arrangements have been made for Prime Minister's visit. Special Protection Group SPG has taken over the security arrangements and State police and PAC have also been deployed in and around the venues of different programmes to be attended by Mr. Modi.
Union Ministers Smriti Irani and Suresh Prabhu reached Varanasi yesterday itself to participate in the functions.

Mr. Modi will garland the statue of Bharat Ratna winner, educationist,great social worker and freedom fighter Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya at BHU gate on his birthday anniversary and then will drive to Assi Ghat to inspect cleanliness programme started by him during his previous visit to Varanasi. Prime Minister will attend several ither programmes, including five day long running 'Sanskriti' Varanasi Mahotsav, at the Swatantrata Bhawan, BHU and also lay foundation stone of Inter University Centre for Teachers' Education.

He will also lay foundation stone of extension of Diesel Locomotive Workshop and dedicate a high tech engine of 4500 HP produced.
