PM Modi to visit Varanasi on 24th March to address One World TB Summit at Rudrakash Convention Centre

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit his constituency Varanasi on 24th of this month. During his visit, the Prime Minister will address the One World TB Summit at Rudrakash Convention Centre and will lay the foundation stone of various projects worth more than 1 thousand 780 crore rupees. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of a Passenger Ropeway from Varanasi Cantt station to Godowlia.<br />'' <br />''On the World Tuberculosis Day on 24th of this month, the Prime Minister will launch various initiatives including the TB-Mukt Panchayat initiative, official pan-India roll out of a shorter TB Preventive Treatment and the family-centric care model for TB. Mr. Modi will also release India's Annual TB Report 2023. <br />''<br />''The Prime Minister will also award selected States, Union Territories and Districts for their commendable work towards elimination of TB. In March 2018, the Prime Minister had called to achieve TB-related Sustainable Development Goals by 2025, five years ahead of stipulated time. Upcoming One World TB Summit will provide an opportunity to further deliberate upon the targets. International delegates from over 30 countries are scheduled to be present at the summit.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">In the last nine years, Mr. Modi has put a special focus on transforming the landscape of Varanasi and enhancing ease of living for the people living in the city. Taking another step in this direction, the Prime Minister will dedicate projects worth over one thousand 780 crore rupees at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University ground. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the Passenger Ropeway from Varanasi Cantt station to Godowlia. The cost of the project is estimated to be around 645 crore rupees. The ropeway system will cover 3.75 kilometers having five stations. The project will facilitate movement for tourists, pilgrims and residents.</span><br />
