Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the 'Khelo India University Games- 2023 Ashtalakshmi being held in Guwahati on 19th February.  
Around 4,500 players are expected to participate in 20 sporting disciplines. Over 200 universities will participate in this mega-university sporting event. The event will be organised at 18 venues in 7 cities during 11 days duration. A total of 16 sporting disciplines will be held in Guwahati and the rests 4 disciplines in other North Eastern states. The 'Khelo India University Games- 2023 Ashtalakshmi will conclude on 29th February.
