Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in Digi-Dhan Mela at talkatora stadium in New Delhi today where he will be launching Aadhar pay and rebranded version of UPI and USSD. Over five thousand people are expected to attend the mela. 65 stalls of banks, Wallets and private players will be set up. School students for best slogan, poster, song contest will be awarded. Earlier, the Mela was organised at Dehradun, Panaji, Gurugram and Ludhiana. As many as 100 such fairs will be organised throughout the country till 14th of April next year. Our correspondent reports that the main purpose of the mela is to boost digital modes of payments. In the mela, lucky draw will be held for deciding the winners who made payments through digital modes. 15,000 winners will get 1,000 rupees each and the amount will be transferred in their accounts digitally. The Centre had, on Sunday, launched the Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi Dhan Vyapar Yojana awards.
