Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two nation tour to Vietnam and China beginning tomorrow. During his first leg of the four day visit, Mr Modi will go to Vietnamese capital Hanoi tomorrow. Briefing media in New Delhi this evening, Secretary (East) in the External Affairs Ministry, Preeti Saran said, the Prime Minister's visit is aimed at further strengthening defence and security ties between the two countries. <br/><br/>She said, Mr Modi will also meet President Tran Dai Quang and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. The Prime Minister will leave for China on Saturday evening from Vietnam to attend the G-20 Summit in Hangzhou. Secretary (West) in the MEA Sujata Mehta said, Mr Modi will be the lead speaker at the session on inclusive and inter connected development. She said, India will press for reduction in remittance transaction cost, cross-border mobility of professionals among others.
