Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave today for a two days visit to France to attend the Paris Climate Conference.<br/><br/>He will deliver a speech on India's Strategy to contain global warming and its serious consequences on the opening day of the conference on Monday at the Leaders Event of the conference.<br/><br/>AIR special correspondent, Pankaj Pandey reports that the 21st Conference of Parties of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change is crucial because the expected outcome would be a new international agreement on climate change, applicable to all.<br/><br/>The aim of the conference is to build a Alliance capable of keeping the average global temperature rise below 2' Celsius compared to pre-industrial levels and adapt our societies to existing disruption.<br/><br/>Keeping in view its development agenda, particularly eradication of poverty and following low carbon path, India has communicated its strategy to reduce emission intensity of its GDP by 33 to 35 percent.<br/><br/>Mr. Modi will also launch a Solar Alliance, co-chaired by president of France, Francois Hollande. This would be a shared platform for cooperation among more than 100 countries.<br/><br/>The solar alliance represents all major developed and developing economies between the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, including Australia, New Zealand and China.<br/><br/>On the sidelines of the event, Mr Modi is likely to meet US President Barak Obama for a strong global deal on climate change.<br/><br/>AIR Correspondent reports, India's strategy at the Paris Climate Change Summit will be to work with emerging economies and press the developed world to concede the responsibility for cutting carbon emissions after 2020 which can not be shared equally by rich and poor countries.<br/><br/>The fight for carbon space, and linked demands for funding and transfer of technologies, for adapting clean energy technologies is a major battlefront in Paris.<br/><br/>Given the statements preferred by India at various International forums in the run up to the conference and responding to some of the remarks as India being " Challenge " in the Paris meet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has clarified that India will not create any problems for the world for fighting against global warming.<br/><br/>It has to be seen that , as India being a key stakeholder at the conference, having its key objectives on the table, would India be able to transform the global narrative during the conference for better world in future to live in.
