PM Modi to lay stone of 3 highway projects in Haryana

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch several projects costing 13,802 crore rupees during his visit to Sonepat in Haryana today. Prime minister will lay the foundation stone of 8-laning of Delhi Panipat Section of National Highway 44 at a cost of 2168 crore rupees, Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) expressway and Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal eastern peripheral costing around 5100 crore rupees.<br/><br/>About 135 km long Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway, also known as Western Peripheral Expressway will be constructed at a cost of 2330 crore rupees. It will provide high-speed link to northern Haryana with its southern districts like Gurgaon, Faridabad and Palwal. <br/><br/>The Expressway would help in de-congestion of National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi and reduce pollution tremendously as traffic from the northern parts of the country towards other regions would not need to pass through this area. <br/><br/>Giving this information, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the Prime Minister will also address a public rally at Rajiv Education City in Rai, Sonipat. Mr Modi will also announce the extension of Delhi Metro from HUDA City Centre in Gurgaon to Sohna road and Kundli in Sonepat.<br/><br/> Eight Union Ministers are scheduled to attend the function. They include Nitin Gadkari, Birender Singh, Harsh Vardhan, Mahesh Sharma and VK Singh.
