PM Modi to inaugurate Hyderabad Metro Rail, HMR, project on 28th November

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Hyderabad Metro Rail, HMR, project on 28th of this month. On Tuesday, he will unveil Metro Rail plaque at Miyapur on the outskirts of Hyderabad and the rail services will be made available to the people of Hyderabad from next day onwards. Initially, the 30 kilometre stretch from Miyapur to Nagole, of the total 72 kilometre long three-corridor Hyderabad Metro Rail project will be operational. <br/><br/>The HMR is the world's biggest mass transport system built in Public Private Partnership with nearly 20 thousand crore rupees investment of which 90 percent came from State Government and private partners.<br/><br/>In an exclusive interview with All India Radio, Hyderabad Metro Rail Corporation Managing Director NVS Reddy said the state of the art technology – the Communication Based Train Control System which can provide capacity to operate a train in every 2 minutes, has been used. <br/>Mr Reddy further said, the HMR will completely transform the Capital city of Telangana making it a people friendly, eco-friendly, green city. He added that utmost care has been taken to make the project an inclusive one. The fares to be collected in the HMR are yet to be decided.
