Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the former President, APJ Abdul Kalam's memorial at Pei Karumbu, Rameswaram tomorrow. <br/><br/>Mr Modi will unveil a statue of Dr. Kalam and will hoist the National flag at the memorial, designed and built by DRDO. He will also interact with the family members of Dr. Kalam. <br/><br/>Later, Prime Minister will flag off Kalam Sandesh Vahini, an exhibition bus which will travel across the country. The bus will reach Rashtrapati Bhavan on 15th of October, which marks the birth anniversary of the former President. <br/><br/>The Kalam's memorial has been constructed by Defence Research and Development Organisation-DRDO in exactly one year. The front entrance looks similar to India Gate, while the two domes are on the lines of Rahstrapati Bhavan. <br/><br/>The Memorial has four main halls each depicting the life and times of Dr Kalam. Hall number one focuses on his childhood and educational phase, Hall-2 the Presidential days, including address to Parliament and UN Council, Hall-3 his days in ISRO and DRDO , while Hall-4 his will dispaly post-Presidential days, till he breathed his last at Shillong. <br/><br/>The entire area has been landscaped beautifully to reflect the peace and harmony aspect of Dr Kalam's personality.
