PM Modi to hold two rallies in poll bound-Meghalaya on Feb 24

In Meghalaya, the BJP state leaders have made elaborate arrangements for rally and public meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be held on Friday. Mr Modi will be taking part in two rallies on Friday in the poll bound-Meghalaya. He will participate in a rally and address people at the police bazaar in Shillong city in the afternoon. He will also address another rally at Tura in the state.<br />'' <br />'' Meanwhile ahead of PM's visit, TMC Lok Sabha member Mahua Moitra said the TMC is known for its anti-BJP credentials and there is no need to prove it to anyone. She addressed a press conference in Shillong today. She said the days of only national parties are over in the country and there will not be any hope for democracy if the country had to rely on a bi-party system.<br />'' <br />'' NPP leader and chief minister Conrad K Sangma claimed that the NPP has served the people with due diligence. He held electioneering in Williamnagar and Dadenggre constituencies in support of the NPP candidates.<br />'' <br />''Meanwhile, election authorities have made arrangements to ensure fair and free election in block II of Ri-Bhoi district.  Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Arpit Upadhaya has informed that security has been deployed in block II as to ensure fair and free election. He said the District administration has taken serious action following the report received that an MLA saying voters from Block II will not be allowed to cast their vote in the upcoming election in Meghalaya. He said the police and CRPF have been deployed in Block II and even foot patrolling is being conducted so that there was no hindrance for the smooth and fair election in the region. He further said no voter will be left out in the election and also warned of strict action against spreading fake information which create fear among the voters.<br />
