Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold bilateral meetings with leaders of three ASEAN nations – Vietnam, Philippines and Myanmar, in New Delhi this evening. Mr Modi's meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc is schedule to begin around this time. <br/><br/>He will also hold bilateral meetings with Philippines President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Myanmar's State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi at Hyderabad House. Several issues including terrorism are expected to come up for discussion during the meetings between Prime minister Modi and the visiting dignitaries. <br/><br/>Tomorrow, Mr Modi will be addressing the plenary session of the commemorative summit. Our correspondent reports that the focus of the Summit will be on counter-terrorism, security and connectivity.<br/><br/>A banquet will be hosted by President Ram Nath Kovind. It will be followed by a Leader's Retreat in which ten ASEAN leaders will take part.<br/><br/>President of Philippines, Prime Ministers of Singapore and Thailand, Malaysia and Laos and Sultan of Brunei Darussalam will be arriving this evening. The President of Indonesia will reach tomorrow. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister will hold a total of nine bilateral meetings with leaders of Southeast Asian countries on the sidelines of the Summit. In an unprecedented event, all the ASEAN leaders will also be the Chief Guests at the Republic Day parade on Friday.<br/><br/>The National Bravery Award Scheme was instituted by the Indian Council of Child Welfare to give due recognition to the children who distinguish themselves by performing outstanding deeds of bravery.
