Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a four-day visit to Palestine, the UAE and Oman on Friday. <br/><br/>During the visit, Mr Modi will meet the leadership of these West Asian nations and hold discussions on matters of mutual interest. <br/><br/>Briefing media ahead of the visit, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar had said, the aim will be to broad-base India's engagement with these countries and focus on areas like defence and security, trade and investment.<br/><br/>On the first leg, Mr Modi will have a stopover at Jordanian capital, Amman tomorrow night where from he will reach Ramallah on Saturday morning, becoming the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Palestine. <br/><br/>He will hold delegation-level talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas after which a number of MoUs are expected to be signed. <br/><br/>During his stay in Ramallah, Mr Modi will also visit the museum of Yasser Arafat who was the Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organisation for three decades and the first President of the Palestinian National Authority.<br/>The same day, Mr Modi will travel to Dubai where he will address the 6th World Government Summit, at which India has been extended 'guest of honour' status. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister will speak on the topic, 'Technology for Development'. <br/><br/>He will also hold talks with the President of UAE, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid al-Maktoum.<br/><br/>On the final leg of his visit, Mr Modi will attend an Indian community event in a stadium at Muscat in Oman on Sunday. <br/><br/>He will meet Deputy Prime Ministers Fahd bin Mahmoud al-Said and Sayyid Asaad the next day before returning home.<br/><br/>Talking to AIR correspondent in Ramallah, India's Representative to Palestine, Anish Rajan termed Mr. Modi's visit as historic and said, it will help in bolstering the bilateral relations between the two countries.<br/><br/>Mr. Rajan also said, the Prime Minister Modi will discuss the entire gamut of relations with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas during their talks.<br/><br/>
