PM Modi to address students at Smart India Hackathon tomorrow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the students participating in Smart India Hackathon 2017 tomorrow through video conferencing. The Smart India Hackathon is intended for promoting innovation, out-of-the-box thinking in young minds, especially engineering students. <br/><br/>It is focused on the problems of social importance as identified by 29 Ministries and departments. Human Resource Development Ministry has said, more than 10 thousand programmers will participate in the World's Largest Hackathon. <br/><br/>Hackathon has been launched to build Digital India of country's dreams and to engage the youth directly with nation building. The Ministry said, Smart India Hackathon gave an opportunity to citizens to provide innovative solutions to India's problems.<br/><br/>The Grand finale of Hackathon will start at 8 in the morning on 1st of April and will end at 8 P.M on 2nd of April in 26 different locations in the Country. During the Finale, the selected groups will sit locked in for 36 hours continuously and complete digital solutions for the problem statements through programming to create computer software or a mobile app. <br/><br/>The software so created is evaluated by judges drawn from the respective Ministry and industry experts and the best solutions will be awarded one lakh rupees, 75 thousand and 50 thousand rupees for the top three teams respectively.
