Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address Sahkar Sammelan to mark the birth centenary of Cooperative Leader Laxman Madhav Rao Inamdar in New Delhi today. <br/><br/>Mr Modi will also release books on Mr Inamdar and nine important leaders of cooperative movement in India. More from our correspondent:<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports, during the event, the Prime Minister will felicitate seven cooperatives for their work in their respective fields. <br/><br/>Cooperative leaders from accross the country and officials of State Cooperative departments are participating in the event. <br/><br/>The ideology perceived by Laxman Madhav Rao Inamdar led to the formation of Sahakar Bharati to spread and strengthen co-operative movement. <br/><br/>The organisation which came to existence in 1979 in Mumbai is enlightening the masses about the benefits of the Co-Operative Movement. <br/><br/>It is also assisting, advising and helping the existing Co-Operatives to overcome problems and difficulties.
