As the nation celebrates its 71st Independence Day tomorrow, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the occasion for the fourth time. <br/><br/>The unfurling of the tri-colour will synchronize with the 21 Gun Salute fired by the valiant gunners of the elite 2281 Field Regiment (Ceremonial). The Army Band will play the National Anthem when the National Guard presents the 'Rashtriya Salute' while unfurling the National Flag by the Prime Minister. <br/><br/>Seven hundred cadets of the National Cadet Corps drawn from various schools of the Delhi Directorate comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force wings are participating in the flag hoisting ceremony this year. <br/><br/>In total, 3,500 girl students and 5,000 boy students from 37 Delhi government schools will sing the National Anthem. They will also sing patriotic songs in different regional languages during the celebrations. On this occasion these school children will display the formation of 'Bharat'.<br/><br/>Our correspondent reports that ahead of the Independence Day, security has been tightened in Delhi with areas in the Lutyens zone and those surrounding the iconic Red Fort being turned into a fortress to ward off any security threats. <br/><br/>More than ten thousand Police personnel have been deployed in and around the Red Fort and surrounding areas along with snipers, Army and National Security Guard -NSG commandos to make the area attack-proof. Bus terminals, Railway Stations and the Airport are on high alert as per inputs by the intelligence agencies. <br/><br/>Delhi Police is keeping a strict surveillance in border areas and every movement is being monitored in coordination with the police of neighboring states. All parking lots of metro rail will remain closed till 2 P M tomorrow. In view of the celebrations, roads will be closed for general traffic from 5.00 AM to 9.00 AM and only labeled vehicles will be permitted at Netaji Subhash Marg, Lothian Road, S P Mukherjee Marg and Chandni Chowk Road and its Link Road. <br/><br/>According to Delhi Police advisory, vehicles without parking labels for the rehearsal need to avoid Tilak Marg, Mathura Road and Ring Road between Nizamuddin Bridge and ISBT bridge and take alternative route. <br/><br/>Train services will run as usual across the Metro Network tomorrow. However, stations like Lal Quila, Jama Masjid, Delhi Gate and ITO will be facilitated entry and exit of passengers from limited Gates during the ceremony time owing to security considerations.
