Elaborate arrangements have been made in capital as the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the Nation for the first time today and hoist National Flag from the ramparts of the Red Fort in Delhi.

Around 10,000 security personnel from the Delhi Police and the paramilitary forces are keeping a hawk-eyed vigil at Red Fort and the area surrounding it on the occasion Independence Day celebrations today. All India Radio will broadcast the Prime Minister's Address to the Nation from 7.05 AM onwards.
