PM Modi to address annual conference of top police officers at BSF Academy at Tekanpur in Gwalior

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the valedictory ceremony of the annual conference of top police officers at the BSF Academy at Tekanpur in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh today afternoon. Over 250 Director Generals of Police and Inspector Generals of Police from all over the country are taking part in the three-day conference, which began on Saturday. The theme of this year's conference is, 'Cyber terrorism and social media that affect young children'. <br/><br/>Mr Modi yesterday held discussions on specific security and policing issues with top police officers. There were presentations and discussions on various subjects relating to security throughout the day. A presentation was also made on the implementation status of decisions taken during the last three years. The Prime Minister's interactions lasted a total of over nine hours.The discussions will continue even today.<br/>'<br/>Mr Modi arrived in Gwalior yesterday and unveiled plaques to mark the inauguration of five new buildings at the BSF Academy. <br/>'<br/>Inaugurating the conference, Home Minister Rajnath Singh asked the top police officers to deal firmly with the rising incidents of communal violence.<br/><br/>The DGPs Conference is an annual event in which top police officers from all over the country share and discuss security related issues.
