PM Modi targets to provide shelter to poor in the country by 2022: M. Venkaiah Naidu

Union Minister for Urban Development and Information Broadcasting M. Venkaiah Naidu said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has targeted to provide shelter to the poor in the country by 2022 so that no one is left out without a home. <br/><br/>He said the Centre has sanctioned 1.93 lakh houses to Andhra Pradesh alone out of the targeted 9 lakh houses to be built in the country. <br/><br/>Speaking after inaugurating the model houses built under the technological expertise provided by IIT-Chennai, in Saraswati Nagar of Venkatachalam mandal of Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday, he said the Urban Development Ministry has invested Rs. 4.55 crore for the housing cluster having 36 houses with a community hall. <br/><br/>He said about thousand PM Kaushal Training Centres would come up soon across the country, adding that the country is privileged to have the largest population of the youth and it is time to catch up with the latest technological advancements in the world for a speedy process of development. <br/><br/>The Union Minister said the Centre is implementing several plans to bring forth the fruits of the scientific and technological experiments being carried across the globe, more closure to the common man.
