PM Modi stresses on development of eastern India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today stressed the need for balanced development of eastern parts of country including eastern Uttar Pradesh. Addressing a rally in poll-bound Deoria district today, Mr. Modi underlined the backwardness of "Poorvanchal" area of UP and said development must take place in all eastern parts of country for balanced and proper development. <br/><br/>Addressing his second election rally, Mr Modi said youth, farmers and poor sections of the state wanted to change the fate of the State. Referring lack of infrastructures in the eastern UP, he said without electricity, Industrial development could not take place in UP. <br/><br/>Mr Modi mentioned ongoing Gas pipe line project from Kandhla to Gorkahpur, and said gas will provide sufficient energy for growth and speedy industrial development in this region. <br/><br/>Mr. Modi said after BJP came into power at the center, 35 lakh cane farmers received their long pending dues. <br/><br/>Mentioning the latest GDP data of government, he said all claims made by opposition parties after demonetization have now been proved completely wrong.
