Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that reforms in governance are his top priority and the government wants simplified procedures, speedy decision-making, transparency and accountability. Mr Modi was addressing a group of 42 CEOs of top American firms in New York over dinner. <br/><br/>External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup said that these companies primarily represented manufacturing and infrastructure sectors and the Prime Minister discussed Make in India, Skill India and Smart City projects with them. Mr Swarup said the feedback from the CEOs was positive on the steps taken to improve ease of doing business in India but they suggested to accelerate the pace of reforms.
