PM Modi, Prez Mahmoud Abbas to discuss developments in political process in the region: Palestinian news agency WAFA

The Palestinian Presidency has described Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the city of Ramallah on Saturday, the first of an Indian premier to Palestine, as historic and important.<br/>According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, the Presidency said, Prime Minister Modi and President Mahmoud Abbas will hold talks on the latest developments in the political process in the region as also other international issues of common concern. <br/><br/>WAFA said the visit will also be an opportunity to thank India for its continued support for peace and the right of Palestinian people to freedom and independence.On Prime Minister's travel to Palestine, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said, Mr Modi, will travel to Palestine via Amman. WAFA said the visit will witness the signing of a number of bilateral agreements aimed at strengthening the bonds of friendship and enhancing cooperation in a number of important fields.
