Prime minister Narendra Modi paid homage to former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh and senior BJP leader Sunderlal Patwa at BJP headquarters in Bhopal this evening. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, state BJP president Nandkumar Singh Chouhan and other dignitaries accompanied Mr Modi on this occasion. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister paid floral tributes to the departed leader. Mr. Modi consoled the family members of Mr Patwa including his nephew. Mr Patwa passed away this morning after suffering heart attack. Sunderlal Patwa was 92. He became Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh twice. He was also a member of Atal Bihari Vajpayee government in the Centre. His body was brought to the BJP headquarters this afternoon to pay the last respect to the departed leader. <br/><br/>The last rites of Mr Patwa will be performed tomorrow at his native village Kukdeshwar in Neemuch district. A three day mourning has been declared in the state. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, other senior BJP leaders, former chief minister Digvijay Singh and other dignitaries have condoled the death of Mr Patwa.
