PM Modi misleading India on govt's achievements: Congress

In reply to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's criticism of the party in the US, Congress today accused him of misleading people of the country. Briefing media in New Delhi, party spokesperson Anand Sharma said Mr Modi should stop making false claims over his government's achievements on foreign soil. He said Prime Minister is misusing official state visits and demanded an independent inquiry into organisation of public events for the prime minister during his foreign tours. <br/><br/>The spokesperson alleged that NDA government has done nothing except repackage schemes launched during UPA regime. He dismissed Prime Minister's claim of Digital Revolution in India saying it was former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi who ushered in IT revolution. <br/><br/> Referring to the Prime Minister getting emotional while recalling events about his mother, Mr Sharma wondered why he did not ensure that his mother stayed with him.<br/><br/>On party Vice President Rahul Gandhi's visit to Aspen, Mr Sharma said Rahul Gandhi does not have to take anyone's permission before traveling anywhere.
