PM Modi leaves for 3-day visit to UK tomorrow

The Prime Minster is leaving tomorrow for three-day visit to the United Kingdom. Mr Narendra Modi's visit is significant for strengthening bilateral interest of both the countries.<br/><br/>In his three day stay in the United Kingdom, Mr Modi will attend wide range of programmes. In a Facebook post recently, Mr Modi expressed confidence that his UK visit will deepen ties and cooperate extensively in a range of areas of shared interest. The Prime Minister said, he will be holding talks with British Prime Minister David Cameron to discuss a variety of issues of mutual interest. Narendra Modi will also meet Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.<br/><br/>To explore avenues of more effective economic cooperation, Mr Narendra Modi will interact with CEOs at a roundtable in London. Mr Modi maintained that he always look forward to such discussions because it entails frank dialogue and constructive feedback from investors. He will be sending a clear message to the business community that come, make use of the opportunities India is offering and invest in India.<br/><br/>India and UK have been traditionally cooperating extensively on defense and security related issues and New Delhi will hold talks on further expanding defense manufacturing ties. Prime Minister Modi will address the British parliament and is the first Prime Minister visiting UK in almost a decade. He will also pay visit where Dr B R Ambedkar had stayed during his studies at London.
