PM Modi lays foundation stone of trade facilitation centre in Varanasi

On his first visit to his Lok Sabha constituency after assuming power, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is today laid foundation stone of a trade facilitation centre for weavers at Lalpur village in Varanasi. The Prime Minister is also likely to adopt Jayapur village under the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana under (MPs' Model Village Scheme). Our correspondent reports that he was welcomed by the State governor Ram Naik and the Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav at Babatpur airport on his arrival. Mr. Modi will interact with the general public in Ravindrapuri locality of the city and hold a meeting with local BJP leader sat the guest house of Diesel Locomotive Works.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to unveil a statue of Swami Vivekananda, at Vijayanagaram Tiraha cross road in the city. He is also likely to visit a hospital situated inside the ashram set up by followers of spiritual leader Shri Anandamay Maa. Before concluding his first day schedules he will interact with prominent citizens and intellectuals of the city at a hotel. Prime Minister will wrap up his two day tour tomorrow. Massive security arrangements are in place in the ancient temple town in view of PM's visit.
