Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched two water supply projects worth 552 crore rupees at Modasa town in Aravalli district of Gujarat on Friday. These water supply projects will benefit more than 8 lakhs residents of the hilly district.<br/><br/>Addressing a gathering at the venue, the Prime Minister said, they have ensured that farmers across Gujarat get water through various irrigation schemes. He also stressed on educating people in conserving water. Mr Modi said, he wanted to ensure younger generation of the state is educated and asked the engineering students to know more about changing technology. He talked about different initiatives taken by his government including e-Nam, Kisan Sampada Yojana to ensure farmers could increase their income through agriculture.<br/><br/>Mr Modi also laid foundation stone of Modasa Bus port. He said, the government is ensuring that bus stations in Gujarat are comparable to airports in convenience and cleanliness. The Prime Minister also inaugurated newly constructed building of APMC at Modasa and dedicated Modasa Raighadh road to the nation.<br/><br/>Later, Mr Modi also inaugurated Textiles India 2017 Exhibition and Summit organized at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. The three day mega exhibition will showcase the strength of the textile value chain in India. The event has been organized by the Ministry of Textiles.
