PM Modi launches 5G services; will offer wide range of benefits to common people

<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">The 5G services which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will offer a wide range of benefits to the common people. The next generation of high-speed 5G services will bring fundamental changes across several sectors, including education, health, agriculture and the banking system. 5G technology will deliver ten times better speed than that of 4G and up to three times greater spectrum efficiency. With the launch of this service, India has joined a select set of countries that offer 5G technology and these include the US, Korea, UK, Japan and  China.</span></p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">The latest technology will help in real-time monitoring of disasters, precision agriculture, and minimising the role of humans in dangerous industrial operations such as in deep mines and offshore activities among others.  Airtel has kicked off 5G services in eight cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru and Varanasi, while Reliance Jio will launch it by Diwali. At the ongoing India Mobile Congress, IMC   in New Delhi, Communications  Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that over 200 Indian cities will get 5G service in the next six months and efforts are being made to make 5G services available in 80 to 90 per cent  of the country in the next two years. He added that  Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited will provide 5G services next year in the country.</span></p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">Yesterday at a function at IMC,  Mr Vaishnaw  said that the government plans to set up 100 labs for 5G technology across India and at least 12 of them will be used to train students and conduct experiments. The minister also asked companies participating in the Indian Mobile Congress to provide their input for the new telecom bill through which the government aims to simplify licensing regime. Mr Vaishnaw said, the government is working significantly towards simplifying the licensing regime for all telecom players.</span></p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal also said that the launch of 5G is going to be a defining moment for not only India but for the world.</span></p>
