<span style="color: #222222;">Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustaf chaired the India-Sweden High-Level Dialogue on Innovation Policy in New Delhi this afternoon.<br />'' <br />'' The High-Level Dialogue aims to create a platform with key stakeholders in a triple helix format from government, private sector and academia to provide overall strategic direction for joint innovation policy.<br />'' <br />'' The dialogue also aims to jointly formulate and implement short- and long-term projects in strategic areas such as circular economy, digital health, artificial intelligence, sustainable energy, and future mobility.<br />'' <br />'' A bilateral project to convert agriculture waste to bio-coal was announced on the occasion. It is a project established by the support of the office of Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government at National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute, Mohali in partnership with Bioendev, Sweden.<br />'' <br />'' This plant converts paddy straw into high energy bio-coal. The current plant has the potential to convert 150 kilogram of agri-waste per hour into energy-efficient and clean bio-coal.<br />'' <br />'' Our correspondent reports that on the 17th of April last year, India and Sweden signed a joint innovation partnership to deepen the collaboration between the two countries and contribute to sustainable growth and new job opportunities.<br />'' <br />''<br />''The partnership was signed during the visit of Prime Minister Modi to Sweden. It was agreed in the Joint Declaration on India-Sweden Innovation Partnership for a Sustainable Future, that both countries will explore optimizing the formal bilateral collaboration mechanisms, increase synergies between policy areas and enable the exchange of experiences and best practice regarding innovation policies.</span>
