PM Modi invites Russian industries to invest in India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged Russia to become a part of India's growth story saying there is a lot of scope for the country to be an integral part of Make In India campaign. Speaking at the CEO summit in Moscow yesterday, Mr. Modi said the government has started the campaign to make India a global manufacturing hub. He invited Russia to become India's partner in security and prosperity.<br/><br/>Saying India wants to extend its ties with Russia beyond hydrocarbons, the Prime Minister said, New Delhi wants to take this partnership forward to hard carbons to foster diamond trade. He added Moscow will always be a vital and long-term partner of New Delhi, not only in energy and mineral resources but in cutting edge technologies too.<br/><br/>Mr. Modi said, trade and business relations of two countries are becoming vibrant and a number of Russian and Indian firms are working together. The Prime Minister said, as per World Bank, India has moved 12 positions up in the ease of doing business. <br/><br/>On the occasion, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, high technology, innovation, energy, aircraft building, pharma and diamonds are promising sectors for India- Russia cooperation. <br/>During the summit, both the countries also agreed to institutionalize CEO's Forum with two meetings annually, one in India and another one in Russia.
