PM Modi inaugurates Delhi Economics Conclave

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said Indian economy is doing better by almost every major economic indicator after his government came to power. Inaugurating the Delhi Economics Conclave in New Delhi, Mr Modi said, the growth of the GDP is up and inflation is under control. He said, the government has entered into a monetary framework agreement for the first time with Reserve Bank of India to curb inflation. <br/><br/>Prime Minister said, reform should help all citizens and especially the poor to achieve a better life, leading to inclusive development. Mr Modi said, provision of a safety net through new social security schemes is another financial reform. He also said, India has great entrepreneurial energy and this needs to be harnessed to make India a nation of job-creators rather than job seekers.<br/><br/>Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan, Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha, Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Subramanian and Niti Ayog Vice Chairman Arvind Panagariya are among those who are attending the conclave.
