Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Francois Hollande on Monday laid the foundation stone of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) headquarters in Gurgaon.<br/><br/>Prime Minister Modi said on the occasion, ISA will work like a life giver to mankind.<br/><br/>The event was held at the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE) in Gurgaon.<br/><br/>Earlier in the day, the two leaders also took an eco friendly metro ride to Gurgaon<br/><br/>An initiative of Mr. Modi, ISA is aimed at increasing utilisation and promotion of solar energy in solar-rich nations like India.<br/><br/>The ISA was jointly launched by Mr. Modi and Mr. Hollande on November 30 last year ahead of the Paris climate summit.<br/><br/>It is an alliance of some 120 countries situated between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn.
