PM Modi expresses grief and sorrow on tragic Bus accident in Navsari district of Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief and sorrow on the tragic Bus accident in Navsari district of Gujarat Friday evening, which claimed 42 lives. <br/><br/>In his tweet, Prime Minister has expressed condolences towards the families of deceased and also wishes for speedy recovery of injured. 42 persons including women and school girls had been killed and about 25 others were suffered injures when a Gujarat State Transport Bus fell in to Purna River from the bridge near Supa village in Navsari district.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Chief Minister Anandiben Patel will visit Navsari this afternoon to inquire the health of injured persons in the Bus accident. She will also meet the families of deceased persons in the accident. Earlier, Chief Minister had announced compensation of Rs.4 lakh to the next keen of the each deceased. <br/><br/>Quoting sources, AIR Ahmedabad correspondent reports that total 64 passengers including Driver and Conductor are travelling in the Bus when the incident occurred. Most of the victims belonged to Vyara, Songadh and Ukai areas of South Gujarat. The Bus was going to Ukai from Navsari when it fell in to river from the bridge after driver lost control over the steering.
