Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described his visit to Russia as fruitful one. In a tweet before leaving for France, Mr Modi thanked Russia for an eventful visit. He said, his visit, which witnessed several programmes and fruitful meetings, will further boost India-Russia friendship.<br/><br/>The Prime Minister said, the historic ties between the two countries stood the test of time. He said his visit paved the way for a more defining path for a better future both in economy and strategic ties.<br/><br/>Earlier yesterday, Mr Modi met and interacted with sixteen Governors of various provinces of Russia to envisage a nurturing bilateral relationship. In his meeting with the Governors, he explained opportunities for increasing interaction, people to people contacts and business links between their provinces and India. <br/><br/>Mr Modi also met the Prime Minister of Mongolia Jargaltulgyn Erdenebat and the Austrian Chancellor Kernchri on the sidelines of the summit and held bilateral talks with them. The Prime Minster also met the UN Secretary General Antonia Gutterres and stressed the need for multilateralism to address global challenges of terrorism. <br/><br/>Mr Modi visited the Make in India pavilion and appreciated the Indian CEOs and partners of the project. More than 57 CEOs were present in the business delegation and congratulated the Prime Minister for establishing deepened economic ties under a strong leadership. <br/><br/>Vikram Khemka, the Vice Chairman of the Sun group told AIR that Prime Minister Modi had a perfect understanding of the geo political situation.<br/><br/>Earlier in the day, Mr Modi addressed the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International economic forum as guest of honour.
